The Operations Team is responsible for day-to-day operations in line with the OTHM Board's direction. The Operations team is also responsible for taking operational decisions and policies, keeping the Board educated and informed, and brings to the board well-documented recommendations and information to support its policy-making, decision-making and oversight responsibilities.
SM Shamrat | CEO
Shamrat is ultimately responsible for all day-to-day management decisions and for implementing the organisation's long and short term plans and to maintain the smooth operation, with the assistance of management team. He also acts as a direct liaison between the Board and management of OTHM and communicates to the Board on behalf of management.
Shamrat has broad experience in Higher Education Management over 10 years. He possesses an MBA from the University of Greenwich. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, and a Fellow of the Institute of Sales & Marketing Management.
Patricia Land | Head of Operations and Compliance
Patricia is the Responsible Officer who maintains regulatory compliance and relationship with Ofqual, Qualifications Wales and other regulatory bodies. She is also responsible for the day to day operations within OTHM.
She has extensive experience of working across all fields of education provision including universities, colleges and private Institutions. She has taught and held senior roles at UK universities, been responsible for university partnerships and led on external examination and validation responsibilities for various HEIs. Patricia has experience in working with awarding organisations particularly in relation to qualification development, compliance and quality assurance. She has sound experience of working with regulatory bodies such as Ofqual and QAA.
Christina Sidery-Parkes | Quality Assurance and Accreditation Manager
Christina is responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring and review of quality assurance activities. She ensures that approved Centres are provided an excellent service and the necessary support to deliver OTHM qualifications to learners.
Christina has always worked in education starting her early career as a TEFL Teacher in Greece. After moving to London, she spent five years setting up and managing the IELTS examination centre in one of the top UK language schools. She has gained extensive experience working for various awarding organisations before joining OTHM Qualifications. She has current, detailed knowledge of the sector and regulators such as Ofqual and Qualifications Wales. Christina believes in providing accessible learning and enhancing the learner experience as far as possible.
Cindy Sloper | Business Development Manager
Cindy works closely with the leadership at OTHM to expand our presence and services beyond our existing global network. With over 10 years of experience in the education sector, primarily in Singapore, where she worked as a business development director at a private college, Cindy has extensive knowledge and experience in global educational recruitment, business development and agent management.
Having recently relocated to London Cindy is looking forward to applying her experience to support OTHM and its global partners. Cindy holds an MBA from University of Wolverhampton and speaks fluent English, Mandarin, and Cantonese as well as basic Japanese and Malay.
